The school has 4 house systems to develop organizational, competitive and social skills in the children through different house activities. House system promotes team spirit and a sense of responsibilities among the children. In different inter house activities students compete in sports, cultural and academic activities to showcase their talent.
A house co-coordinator (Teacher) is appointed to coordinate among houses for organizing all the school activities.
Red House (Aravali): Red essential, limitless potential Red is the symbol of love, courage, sacrifice, victory and honour. Students of Red House referred to as Aravali stand strong and united all the times. They are known for their togetherness and face adversities as a team. They are the jacks of trades performing to the best of their abilities in sports and cultural events.
Green House (Himalaya): A team above all and all above a team The green color indicates elements like nature, fertility and life. It represents growth and harmony and in the colour of the environment. The green house is appropriately named Himalaya because of its link to the natural elements of environment. The students of Himalaya house are always ready, rearing to go on and achieve always while keeping in mind their goals. The green always signifies movement. Students of Himalaya house are natural winners, down to earth with high thinking, social and responsible.
Blue House (Neelgiri): Striving towards excellence with humility The students of blue house referred to as Neelgiri are known for their highly intellectual skills, stability and unity symbolizing the blue colour. Blue House students always strive to do their best. The students of the blue house possess immense intelligence and vitality. They are committed to their goals and are all-rounder and achievers.
Yellow House (Shivalik): Be respectful, be responsible and Shine on Students of the yellow house referred to a Shivalik are known for their wisdom, dynamic, determined and dashing race. Yellow being the colour of the sun they are a shining example to the students of the school. Every member is proud indeed to be part of a house that shine with qualities of faith in one another. Students of the yellow house are usually described as immaculate, dependable, joyful and remarkable.
A student council is also constituted to coordinate among different houses. This council has following student officials.
At Shivalik we aim to work for holistic development of our students. Apart from giving subject knowledge to the students in the class our teachers develop the ability to differentiate between right and wrong. We want every student to become ready and able to take lead in changes for progress in the society and nation.
Here, teachers are innovative, creative and good as a listener and speaker too. They promote experimental learning as they use new tools of teaching methodology which suit the needs of all students.
